The shortlist has now been announced for an exciting competition to design a new park in the centre of the St Cuthbert’s Garden Village in Carlisle. Hyas have worked closely with the City Council, the Landscape Institute and United Utilities (sponsors), to ensure the smooth progression of the Competition.
Having helped with the initial competition brief, to ensure the highest quality of submissions, Hyas are now ensuring the same high quality approach to the more technically demanding Stage 2 Brief, which will be used by the 3 professional finalists to explore the ‘Start with the Park’ concept in more detail.
The following three finalists have been selected:
- The Greenway Ribbon – Gillespies.
- St Cuthbert’s Monastic Gardens – AFL Architects.
- The Weave – BMD and JTP.
An overall Competition winner will be announced in the New Year.
