Gilston Park Estate Planning Applications

Hyas have been providing support to East Hertfordshire District Council to help them consider and determine comprehensive, large scale, outline planning applications submitted for the 10,000 home development north of Harlow.

The applications are complex, with 2 major outline applications submitted for the core areas of the development with additional applications for key infrastructure works. These follow the site being allocated for development and removed from the Green Belt through the adopted East Herts District Plan.

Hyas have provided extra capacity to the Council, working closely alongside the case officers providing support and guidance on the approach to the determination of the applications. We have also been working closely with other resources that are in place to take forward the scheme as part of the wider Harlow & Gilston Garden Town project. The key infrastructure works have secured funding support via the Housing & Infrastructure Fund.
