Jim Fox is a well-known and respected planner and urban designer. He has over 30 years’ experience in urban design and masterplanning and has successfully led large multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large-scale infrastructure-led masterplanning, public realm and planning developments. He has recently been Head of Urban Design for Gillespies’ northern office, and is continuing to work with them on a number of projects.
Hyas have worked closely with Jim over a number of years including work at St Cuthberts Garden Village, where he led Gillespies work on the preparation of a concept design for the site. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience around placemaking from both a commercial and public sector.
Jim is a member of the Design Council (CABE) National Design Review and a Chartered member of The Royal Town Planning Institute. He holds a Diploma in Town Planning from the Oxford Brookes University and is a Registered Practitioner in Urban Design.
